On July 8th Phosphorescent played an amazing show with Dawes for the River Rocks concert at Pier 54 along the Hudson River. Later that night Phosphorescent’s rental van with over $40,000 worth of equipment was stolen. Phosphorescent was about to kick off a huge tour so they desperately sent out notices asking for help with any leads about the theft or donations. On July 13 the New York Police department recovered *Phosphorescent*’s van with all of the gear intact.

Phosphorescent posted this message to fans on their website:

“A Christmas miracle? Whatever you want to call it, we are thrilled to report that Phosphorescent’s stolen van and gear was recovered last night by NYPD. We really appreciate all of the kind words that have been sent our way over the past few days — the endless support has been simply amazing. The band will be refunding any donations in full ASAP.

We are happy to put this behind and to be able to focus on the tour ahead. Phosphorescent are hauling to Columbus as I type this, and are thrilled for their upcoming shows. Don’t forget, joining Phosphorescent will be Doug Paisley (7/13-7/18), Shiny Around the Edges (7/21-7/24) and J. Tillman (7/27-8/15). Phosphorescent will also be performing at the Treasure Island Festival in San Francisco on October 17."

We had a blast at the River Rocks show and we’re glad that Phosphorescent recovered their equipment. The Next River Rocks concert is July 22 with The Antlers and Dinosaur Feathers!
