Pulling from every spectrum of music and mashing, then re-mashing, Yeasayer have bent genres until they’ve become unrecognizable. The Brooklyn-based band manages to make experimentalism playful rather than pretentious by harnessing tricky world-music influences. Brooklyn's *Amazing Baby* boasts a "now" sound that flips through static-y channels broadcasting acid rock, electro, wailing prog, and stomping, Suede-esque Britpop.
