Get ready for the funniest comedy show of the year as the April Fools Comedy Show returns to the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, March 31st with hostess with the mostess, Sommore and a killer line up of top comics including Mike Epps, Bruce Bruce, Tony Rock, George Wallace, Jay Pharoah and more!

ABOUT THE COMICS:

SOMMORE
Sommore reigns as the undisputed “Queen of Comedy." With a winning combo of class and sass, she offers audiences a hilarious, yet piercing look at today’s issues from a woman’s perspective. Frank and fearless, she tackles topics ranging from the mundane to the controversial with wit, intelligence and style. Sommore was the first woman to host BET’s ”Comic View” (1994-1995 season), and received the Richard Pryor Award for Comic of the Year in 1995. She has also hosted Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam,” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” She was part of 2000’s record-breaking “Queens of Comedy” tour which garnered her a wider fan base and placed her in Guinness’ Book of World Records when she performed to an audience of over 50,000 in Atlanta. Never one to rest on her laurels, Sommore was a featured comic in the “Latham Entertainment Presents” tour in 2002, where she was the only woman performer. In 2002, Sommore made her film debut in Friday After Next. She has also been featured in a number of other films including, Family Reunion (2002), Soul Plane (2004), Something New (2006), and Dirty Laundry (2007). Her TV credits include: “The Hughleys” and “The Parkers,” HBO’s “SNAPS” and MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out.”

MIKE EPPS
One of the top comics in the business for over a decade, Mike Epps is back on tour with a hot new show packed with laughs! After wrapping his recent film projects, Mike is back on the road, once again showing fans why he remains one of the only Hollywood funnymen with the ability to make ’em laugh live on stage. Whether you’ve seen him on the big screen (credits include: Sparkle, Next Friday, Jumping the Broom,The Hangover, The Hangover III, and more) or in his HOT stand up specials ( including Mike Epps presents: Live From Club Nokia), top comedian Mike Epps has undoubtedly left you laughing. Get ready for his latest laughs in Mike Epps Live!

BRUCE BRUCE
Bruce Bruce is a name synonymous with keeping audiences rolling with laughter thanks to his captivating improv skills and larger than life comedic style. Bruce’s steady style of comedy has been showcased across the country, and he has been entertaining audiences young and old, and of all backgrounds, for years. His wit, spontaneity and dazzling personality set him apart from other standup comedians. While known for his adult comedy, he prides himself on not using vulgarity to win a laugh and is no stranger is winning over new audiences with every appearance he makes. From his role as host for two seasons of BET’s “Comic View” to his many appearances on tv and film, Bruce is clearly a comedian that has found his mark in the business. Bruce headlined the 2008 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, leaving the audiences north of the border in stitches. On the feature film front, Bruce made a cameo in the HBO Films feature “Idlewild,” appeared in “Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector,” and in the comedy “Who’s Your Caddy” as “Golf Ball Eddie.”

TONY ROCK
The star of his own Comedy Central special, Tony Rock can be seen in the movies Three Can Play That Game and Life Support. The Hollywood Reporter recently designated him one of the hot young comedic talents to come out of New York.

GEORGE WALLACE
George Wallace, who has been selling out comedy clubs and concert venues all over the world, derives his comedy from the everyday and simply shares moments of life. He finds humor everywhere he turns–from media to relationships to dialogue cliches. At all costs, he avoids standard opening lines and is known to be an ace at reading an audience. Among other comics, Wallace is known as “the guy who can roll the room over if it’s dead.” Wallace began his career in comedy as a writer for “The Redd Foxx Show” and made a huge splash on the stand up scene as one of 150 competitors on the cable television special “The Big Laugh Off.” Wallace captured first prize, which included club gigs all over the country

JAY PHAROAH
Jay Pharoah joined the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live in 2010, for its thirty-sixth season. In 2015, he was ranked the 55th greatest Saturday Night Live cast member by Rolling Stone magazine. He became known for his many celebrity impressions, including Barack Obama, Will Smith, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eddie Murphy, Charlie Murphy, Chris Rock, Kanye West, Stephen A. Smith and Denzel Washington.
